Returns policy

Returns policy

All sales are final

We do not offer returns, exchanges or refunds on delivered orders. Once a product is sold and delivered, it cannot be sent back, swapped for another piece, or refunded. This is stated on every product page, restated at checkout before payment, and forms part of the terms you accept when ordering. We ask you to read this page in full before your first purchase — it is short on legalese and long on the practical help we offer instead.

Why this policy? Our garments are occasion wear: many are worn once, for a few hours, on a date that matters. A returns pipeline in this category inevitably means customers receiving pieces that have been ordered, worn and sent back by others — a practice widespread enough in ethnic wear that we decided our customers deserve better. All-sales-final means the lehenga that reaches you has never been on anyone else's shoulders, the fold lines are the packer's and no one else's, and the price you pay is not inflated to fund other people's round trips. We would rather put our energy into getting your choice right before dispatch than into logistics after it.

What we do instead — before you order

Everything we can show you, we will. Message us on WhatsApp with any product link and ask for: additional photographs from angles the listing lacks; video of the fabric moving in daylight; close-ups of embroidery, borders and inner finishing; the exact tape measurement of any dimension (bust, waist, length, dupatta size, blouse-piece length); the true weight; and a frank opinion on whether the piece suits your occasion, complexion or existing jewellery. We answer these within business hours, usually in minutes, and this service is the honest substitute for a fitting room that any online ethnic-wear purchase deserves.

Sizing help: most of our lehengas come semi-stitched or with generous margins, and blouse pieces are unstitched; the product page states what is included and adjustable. Tell us your measurements on WhatsApp and we will tell you plainly whether a piece can be made to fit you by any competent tailor — and where it cannot, we will say so and point you to one that can.

The one exception: damaged or wrong item

If your parcel arrives damaged, or the item inside is not the item you ordered, that is our problem, not yours. Contact us within 48 hours of delivery on WhatsApp or email with an unboxing video or clear photographs showing the parcel and its contents. We will resolve it at our cost: a replacement of the same item where stock allows, an alternative of equal value that you approve, or a full refund where neither is possible. This exception exists because it concerns our performance, not your change of mind — the distinction the whole policy rests on.

Two practical notes. First, the unboxing video: make it a habit for every valuable parcel from any seller — filming from seal-cut to contents takes a minute and removes all argument. Second, the 48 hours run from the courier's delivery scan; a report that reaches us on time is honoured even if our reply takes a few hours.

Cancellations

You may cancel an order at any time before it is dispatched, from Account → Orders or by messaging us the order number. Prepaid amounts for pre-dispatch cancellations are refunded in full to the original payment method within five to seven working days. Once a parcel is handed to the courier, cancellation is no longer possible — refusing delivery of a non-damaged parcel does not create a refund right, and such parcels return to us as your abandoned property under this policy.

If you realise within minutes of ordering that something is wrong — size choice, address, duplicate order — WhatsApp immediately; before dispatch, everything is fixable.

Craft variation is not a defect

Handwork varies: motif placement, bead density and knotting differ slightly piece to piece, and dye lots shift subtly between production runs. Bandhani dots are irregular by nature; zardozi sits raised and can catch; gota edges are hand-folded. These characteristics are why the piece is valuable and are not grounds for a damage claim. What is a defect — tears, broken zips, large stains, missing inclusions — falls squarely under the 48-hour exception above, and we stand behind it.

Your statutory rights

Nothing in this policy limits rights that cannot be waived under Indian law, including remedies for defective goods under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019. Our 48-hour damage window is our service commitment layered on top of the law, not a substitute for it.

Frequently asked, plainly answered

Can I exchange for a different size? No — but message us before ordering and we will confirm from tape measurements whether a piece fits or can be tailored to fit; most of our stitched pieces carry margins and our lehengas are largely semi-stitched precisely so a local tailor can perfect them. Can I return if the colour looks different from my screen? No — screens differ; ask for daylight video before ordering, which we send freely, and judge from that. What if I refuse the parcel at the door? A refusal without a damage basis is treated as abandonment, not cancellation; no refund arises. What if the courier loses the parcel outright? That is our risk, not yours — a parcel with no delivery scan is investigated with the courier and, if unrecovered within ten working days, we reship or refund in full, your choice.

What about items bought in-store? Store purchases follow the same all-sales-final principle, stated at the counter. What about jewellery and bags? Same policy, same 48-hour damage exception. Does a discount change any of this? No — sale items and full-price items carry identical terms.

A word to the bride

Bridal purchases carry the most feeling and the least room for error, so we treat them differently before the sale: video consultations from the store rail, close-ups of every inch of work, tape measurements against your own numbers, and honest advice that has talked more than one bride out of a heavier, costlier piece that did not suit her. Do this diligence with us and the all-sales-final policy will never feel like a risk — it is precisely what guarantees the lehenga you unbox was never anyone's but yours. Involve your tailor early, keep the wear-date margin generous, and let us carry the worrying.
