Shipping policy
Where we deliver
We ship across India through Shiprocket, the country's largest courier aggregator, which gives us access to national networks including Delhivery, Xpressbees, Blue Dart and others. Coverage currently exceeds 97% of India's serviceable pincodes — over 18,800 of roughly 19,300 postal codes — and the checkout verifies your exact pincode before payment, so you will never pay for a delivery we cannot make. A small number of remote pincodes, mostly in difficult terrain, are refused at the address step with a clear message rather than discovered as a failure later.
We currently ship within India only. If you are ordering for an address abroad, the practical route many NRI families use is delivery to a relative in India; message us and we will make sure the packaging is suitable for onward carriage in luggage.
What shipping costs
Orders of ₹19,999 and above ship free anywhere in India we deliver. Below that threshold, shipping is charged at the live courier rate for your exact pincode and parcel, with our handling margin included, and you see the price before you pay — never after. At checkout you choose between up to three delivery speeds (Economy, Standard and Express where available), each showing its courier, its price and its estimated delivery time. The price you select is the price you are charged; there are no shipping surprises on the payment page and no 'shipping extra' phone calls afterwards.
Because rates are quoted live for your parcel, light items ship for light-item prices: a clutch or a stole to Delhi typically costs a fraction of what a boxed bridal lehenga does. Bridal lehengas travel in rigid protective boxes whose size, more than their weight, drives courier pricing — this is why a lehenga's shipping can read higher than its weight suggests, and why we show you the exact number upfront instead of averaging it into every product's price.
Dispatch times
In-stock items leave Jaipur within one to two working days of payment confirmation. During festival and wedding peaks (roughly September to February) allow one extra day at busy moments — if your order is time-critical, tell us on WhatsApp at the time of ordering and we will flag it through packing. Orders placed after 15:00 IST begin processing the next working day. We dispatch Monday through Saturday; Sundays and major public holidays are packing-free days.
Every parcel is checked against the order by a second person before sealing: fabric inspected, inclusions verified (blouse pieces, dupattas, belts where listed), and the packing recorded. Sarees are steamed and tissue-folded; lehengas boxed with padding; jewellery and accessories bubble-wrapped in rigid cartons.
Delivery times
After dispatch, metros typically receive parcels in two to four days, state capitals and larger towns in three to five, and remote pincodes in five to eight. The estimate shown at checkout for your chosen speed is the courier's own current figure for your lane, not a generic promise, and the same estimate is restated in your order confirmation. Express options, where offered, generally shave one to two days over Economy for the same lane.
These are estimates, and the last mile belongs to the courier: weather, festivals and local disruptions can add a day. When a parcel looks slower than its estimate, check the tracking link first, then WhatsApp us the order number — we chase couriers through Shiprocket's escalation desk, which moves faster than consumer-facing tracking pages.
Tracking
The moment your parcel is handed to the courier you receive the AWB (tracking) number by email, and the same number lives permanently in Account → Orders with a live status feed. Courier apps and SMS updates vary by carrier; the website's order page is the single view we guarantee. If the tracking has not moved for 48 hours, tell us — stalled scans are usually hub delays, and a push from the seller side clears most of them.
Delivery attempts and address accuracy
Couriers make up to three delivery attempts and will usually call the number on the order first — please keep that phone reachable. If delivery fails on all attempts, or the address proves incorrect or incomplete, the parcel returns to us (an 'RTO' in courier language). We will contact you when it arrives back to arrange reshipment; the reshipment courier charge is payable by you where the failure was due to an unreachable phone or an address error on the order. Check your pincode, flat number and phone digits carefully at checkout — thirty seconds there prevents a week of round trip.
Address changes after dispatch are at courier discretion and often impossible; before dispatch we can nearly always fix an address if you WhatsApp us promptly.
Damage in transit
Every parcel leaves us intact and photographed. If a box arrives visibly crushed, torn or tampered with, either refuse the delivery outright or accept it and video the unboxing. Report damage to us within 48 hours of delivery with that video or clear photographs — we will resolve it with a replacement of the same item where stock allows, an alternative you approve, or a refund where neither is possible. The 48-hour window and the unboxing evidence are what let us hold the courier's insurance to account; outside them, claims fail on their side and we cannot carry that cost alone.
Packaging, in detail
Sarees: steamed, folded over acid-free tissue, sealed in a moisture-barrier sleeve, then boxed or rigid-enveloped by weight. Lehengas: skirt padded at the folds with tissue bolsters, blouse piece and dupatta wrapped separately, all boxed in rigid double-wall cartons sized to the garment tier. Accessories: bubble-wrapped, boxed, void-filled. Every outer carton is strapped and weatherproofed; monsoon dispatches get an extra poly layer. We photograph the packed contents of high-value parcels before sealing — evidence that protects both of us in a courier claim.
Boxes are chosen from a fixed catalogue of tested sizes, and the box drives the courier's volumetric billing — one reason our checkout quotes your parcel live rather than guessing a flat rate.
Festive-season notes
From September through February — the wedding and festival spine of the Indian year — courier networks run at their annual peak. Our dispatch discipline holds (one to two working days), but the courier leg can stretch by a day around Diwali, Dussehra and the big December wedding dates. If your outfit has a wear-date, tell us on WhatsApp at the moment of ordering: we flag the parcel through packing, prefer the faster courier on your lane even at our own margin's expense where it is close, and watch the tracking with you. In four years of festive seasons this combination has yet to miss a wedding.
